LEGO Jurassic World Summer 2020 Sets To Watch Out For

As the Nuremberg Toy Fair comes to a close, the LEGO Booth at the International Toy Fair has a few more sets to reveal. Visitors and dealers were allowed to have a sneak peek of four of the LEGO Jurassic World summer 2020 sets. Promobricks continues its coverage of the events going on at the floor of the toy fair venue. With the LEGO Harry Potter theme getting another wave of sets, LEGO is also adding more sets to its LEGO Jurassic World portfolio.

There are four sets to be expected from the summer 2020 wave of LEGO Jurassic World as reported by Promobricks, with lots of dinosaurs to go around. Please take note that the following set names are just tentative based on how toy fair visitors describe them. It may not be considered final until such time that LEGO makes an official reveal. Furthermore, these sets are inspired by the LEGO Jurassic World animated series.

LEGO Jurassic World Dr. Wu’s Laboratory (75939)

Price: €19.99 | Minifigures: 2

At 20 Euro, this set is the smallest among this wave. It features a rendering of Dr. Henry Wu’s laboratory where he breeds different kinds of dinosaurs. What fans might be interested to know is that this set also comes with new baby ankylosaurus and triceratops dino figures. There is also an Owen Grady minifigure thrown to add to that of Dr. Wu.

LEGO Jurassic World Hunt for the Gallimimus and Pteranodon (75940)

Price: €59.99 | Minifigures: 3

75926 1
The LEGO Jurassic World Pteranodon Chase (75926) features a net shooter, which will also be featured in this next wave of sets.

This set features, not one, but two dino bigfigs which collectors might find interesting: a Pteranodon and a larger Gallimimus. It also comes with brick-built drones, and a vehicle equipped with a net shooter similar to how the LEGO Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom Pteranodon Chase (75926), perhaps larger.  Minifigures include Owen Grady, Claire, and a park employee.

LEGO Jurassic World House of Gyrospheres (75941)

Price: €99.99 | Minifigures: 5

75919 1
The LEGO Jurassic World gyrosphere, such as seen in this Indominus Rex Breakout (75919) set, is quite ubiquitous to the theme. It will also be added again in one of the upcoming LEGO Jurassic World summer 2020 sets.

This set features a small house that serves as a launchpad for a gyrosphere. This gyrosphere is similar to what can be found in the LEGO Jurassic World Dilophosaurus Ambush (75916), Indominus Rex Breakout (75919), and Carnotaurus Gyrosphere Escape (75929). This new set also features two large dino bigfigs: an Indominus Rex and an Ankylosaurus. Minifigures include Owen, Claire, Gray, Zach, and a park employee.

LEGO Jurassic World Land and Water Hunting (75942)

Price: €29.99 | Minifigures: 2

Apparently, this is the 4+ set under this theme. It features two vehicles, namely a yellow seaplane, a quad bike, and two dinosaur figures – a Velociraptor and it’s baby counterpart.

These  LEGO Jurassic World summer 2020 sets are expected to arrive in stores in July 2020. In case LEGO makes an official reveal, then be sure to keep tabs with us here in our Brick Show blogsite.

LEGO Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar Mini-Series Slated to Premiere in September

Spearheaded by Universal, the LEGO Group and Nickelodeon. This new animated 13-episode series will air on Nickelodeon in the US beginning September 14 and with new stories that took place before the events of 2015’s blockbuster Jurassic World film. Here’s the complete press release of the Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar mini-series, followed by its official trailer. Legend of Isla Nublar Mini-Series

“LEGO® JURASSIC WORLD: LEGEND OF ISLA NUBLAR,”
BRAND-NEW ANIMATED MINI-SERIES, SET TO PREMIERE SATURDAY, SEPT. 14, AT 11:30 A.M. (ET/PT) ON NICKELODEON

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif.-Aug. 21, 2019-Universal Brand Development (Universal), the LEGO Group and Nickelodeon have announced the all-new, animated mini-series, LEGO® Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar, will debut Saturday, Sept. 14, at 11:30 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon in the U.S. The 13-episode CG-animated mini-series, taking place before the events of 2015’s blockbuster Jurassic World film, will continue to premiere Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.

Set in 2012, newly hired animal behaviourist, Owen Grady, and Assistant Manager of Park Operations, Claire Dearing, team up on Isla Nublar to deal with everything the Jurassic World park throws their way, including runaway dinosaurs, ongoing construction to expand the park, throngs of tourists, unpredictable tropical weather and an impulsive boss!

In LEGO Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar, there’s also a mysterious saboteur with surprising ties to the park’s past who is on a quest to find a legendary treasure and destroy Jurassic World forever. What could possibly go wrong? Well…everything.

A prequel to the brand-new mini-series, LEGO Jurassic World: The Secret Exhibit Part 1 and Part 2, will be available on the Nick App and VOD beginning Sunday, Aug. 25. In The Secret Exhibit, Simon Masrani has an idea for a new attraction that is guaranteed to keep Jurassic World at the forefront of theme park entertainment, but in order for it to succeed, he needs his right-hand can-do problem solver, Claire Dearing, and newcomer Owen Grady, to get a trio of dinosaurs across the park to the new, super-secret exhibit. Unfortunately, delivering the dinosaurs to the new attraction is not as easy as they thought!

Beginning, Sunday Aug. 25, a sneak peek episode, “Mission Critical,” will be available for fans to watch on the Nick App, Nick On Demand and Nickelodeon’s YouTube channel.

Building sets inspired by LEGO Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar are currently available at retail globally, including Dilophosaurus on the Loose (75934), Baryonyx Face-Off: The Treasure Hunt (75935), Triceratops Rampage (75937) and T. rex vs Dino-Mech Battle (75938).

LEGO Jurassic World Video Game Coming to Nintendo Switch

The LEGO Jurassic World video game has been out for quite some time. Since 2015, it has been available across major gaming platforms even older ones such as the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. And as far as Nintendo is concerned, this collaboration between TT Fusion and WB Interactive has everything covered including being available to the 3DS and Wii U users. This time around, Nintendo Switch owners will have the chance of revisiting all four films but of course with a LEGO twist, starting September 17.

The LEGO Jurassic World for the Nintendo Switch will feature the original games based on all four Jurassic films: Jurassic Park (1993), The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), Jurassic Park (2001) and Jurassic World (2015). Other than its expected launch date on September 17, we still have no info on its pricing and other game features that may be unique for its Switch version. It would be interesting if WB Interactive will throw in a DLC or add a new level on the game considering that we already have Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom from last year.

The Nintendo eShop hasn’t updated its listing yet to include this latest offering so I suggest that you keep tabs with the online selling portal as well for any updates on the Switch version of the LEGO Jurassic World. For now, you may want to check out the latest LEGO Jurassic World Isla Nublar sets now available at shop.LEGO.com. Just click on the following links below.

LEGO Jurassic World: The Secret Exhibit Animated Special to Air on NBC

The third installment of the Jurassic World saga from Universal Pictures is still a long ways off, but its recent sequel Fallen Kingdom is still quite fresh in the minds of moviegoers, enough that LEGO has announced new sets to come out in 2019, plus an animated special to boot. Said animated special was to be aired late this year, and at last LEGO has fleshed out information about it. The title is LEGO Jurassic World: The Secret Exhibit, to be aired on NBC network. LEGO posits this special as taking place before the events of Jurassic World in 2015.

The LEGO Jurassic World: The Secret Exhibit follows Claire Dearing, operations manager of the Jurassic World theme park, as she receives orders from her boss and park owner Simon Masrani, to transfer three dinosaurs to a secret exhibition area that houses a new attraction, touted as the greatest thing since the discovery of dinosaurs.

Claire thus takes animal behaviorist Owen Grady from his current assignment of teaching his baby raptors in order to transport the dinosaurs in question. But that mission’s a bit tougher than expected; and there’s something about the new attraction that’s more than meets the eye (though it’s not Transformers-related, sorry).

We can expect this LEGO Jurassic World animated special to premiere on NBC in two parts, on November 29. The Secret Exhibit will then be uploaded on several streaming platforms (NBC app and Hulu among them) on November 30, and will finally be available on DVD in January 15, 2019.

More LEGO Jurassic World Sets Slated for 2019

Universal Pictures’ Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the latest installment of their CGI-fest adventure film franchise, premiered back in June, while the official tie-in building-brick sets from LEGO came out on the preceding month. It seems to have simply ended at that, but just because they stopped releasing doesn’t mean there won’t be more in future. Because the film giant itself has already confirmed that we can expect more LEGO Jurassic World sets come next year.

According to License Global, Universal Pictures announced its future plans for the Jurassic World franchise, going well until next year. This includes new toy products in 2019, to be produced by both Mattel and The LEGO Group, an unusual period as Fallen Kingdom has long arrived and its sequel still years off.

In 2019, “Jurassic World: The Exhibition,” which debuted in Paris last year, will stop in Madrid in the fall. “Jurassic World in Concert,” a visual and orchestral experience, will continue its global tour. Universal Games and Digital Platforms will continue to celebrate the franchises’ most recent films with “Jurassic World Alive,” an augment reality location-based mobile game as well as “Jurassic World Evolution,” a dinosaur theme-park management centers console/PC games.

Additional products from master toy partner Mattel and construction partner LEGO will debut at retailers in the U.K. through 2019.

But while this year is still around, Universal and LEGO will collaborate on a LEGO Jurassic World animated special that would air sometime in late 2018. Running 22 minutes long, this animation will be used to help promote the film’s home media release last September.

Aside from the promise of more LEGO Jurassic World sets in 2019, we know there is a 4-minifigure limited edition set Bricktober on Toys R Us Stores (with LEGO Stores in the US). That and the animated special should tie over LEGO and Jurassic World fans until the next year comes.

By the way, the one-off LEGO Jurassic World animation might either be released on home media or aired on Cartoon Network, long the home of various LEGO animated series. The sequel to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom on the other hand will be far in 2021.
