LEGO Jurassic World Activity Book Comes With a Limited Owen Minifigure

Here’s another upcoming LEGO-themed book from Scholastic that you may want to pick-up from your local bookstore starting next year. After the reveal of a handful of LEGO Harry Potter themed books, it seems that LEGO and Scholastic is back to the Jurassic World with yet another activity book that also comes with – as you may have guessed – another cool minifigure. The LEGO Jurassic World Activity Book not only comes with several dino fun facts and challenging puzzles, it also comes with a limited LEGO Jurassic World Owen Grady minifigure.

Listed via Amazon, the LEGO Jurassic World Activity Book is slated to be released on January 29, 2019 and retails for $8.99. This Scholastic book release also offers you the chance of having this particular minifigure version of Owen Grady that can only be seen in LEGO Jurassic World Carnotaurus Gyrosphere Escape (75929). This particular minifigure also includes several accessories such as a tranquilizer gun, satchel and dinosaur egg as you can see in the image below.

More LEGO Harry Potter Books With Free Minifigures Coming in 2019!

It looks like we can expect more LEGO Harry Potter books to arrive in 2019, and the best part is, most of them will come with more free minifigures. After the reveal of the LEGO Harry Potter Back to Hogwarts Activity Book, we now have additional Potter-inspired books from different publishers which will also offer their own free LEGO minifigs.

First off, we have DK’s LEGO Harry Potter Build Your Own Adventure book to be released int the UK on July 4, 2019. If you recall, DK’s Build You Own Adventure books usually come with an exclusive building set and a free minifigure.

Though the Amazon UK listing in which this book has been initially found does not show yet the actual build, it provides a silhouette of what it will be. I really can’t figure out what the build is, but I can clearly see a wizard’s hat in the middle (could it be the Sorting Hat?!). Here’s a preliminary image courtesy of Amazon UK. Second, we also have another LEGO inspired book written by Jenna Ballard, slated to be released in the US on May 14, 2019. Listed via Amazon US, details are still very scant about this title, save for one important detail that LEGO Harry Potter fans will not miss: it comes with a free LEGO Hermione minifigure. The LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Handbook seems to be like any typical activity book whose main selling point is the free LEGO minifigure that comes with it. Like the previously mentioned activity book, we really don’t have an idea what particular minifig version of Hermione are we going to see bundled with this offering. But it is highly probable that it might be the same as that of her younger version of during her first years in Hogwarts, just as we see her in more recent LEGO Harry Potter sets such as the Hogwarts Whomping Willow (75953), Hogwarts Great Hall (75954), and Quidditch Match (75956).

Free LEGO Harry Potter Minifigure Comes With Scholastic’s Back To Hogwarts Activity Book

LEGO Harry Potter fans will be pleased to know that long time LEGO publishing partner Scholastic has now listed via Amazon a new LEGO Harry Potter inspired book that you may want to purchase next year. Entitled Back to Hogwarts, this Scholastic book also comes with a free LEGO Harry Potter minifigure based on Harry’s early years in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In fact, this free and exclusive minifigure is based on new versions of Harry as found in the polybag set Harry’s Journey to Hogwarts (30407) and Hogwarts Great Hall (75954).

This free LEGO Harry Potter minifigure also includes a Hedwig minifig, wand accessories, the Nimbus broomstick, and a unique newspaper printed tile. Scholastic’s Back to Hogwarts Activity Book is now available for pre-order via Amazon and will be available to the public by January 29 next year retailing for $7 USD. DK LEGO Factivity Books Available for Additional $2 with Magazine Purchases in Woolworths, Australia

There seems to be no doubt that when it comes to The LEGO Group’s many publishing partners that produce official licensed books and magazines, one of the foremost is the UK’s Dorling-Kindersley (DK). Many of our past articles on The Brick Show that talks about the hottest LEGO books are mainly about those from DK. And it looks like we have more LEGO-DK published material coming out, these ones being included in a promotional tandem with the Woolworths Supermarkets retail chain in Australia. These are the new LEGO Factivity books and there are six in all to collect. Each can be gotten by adding only two Australian dollars to every purchase of magazines from Woolworths, namely Better Homes and Gardens, and Australian Men’s Health.

These LEGO Factivity books from DK are divided into two prominent themes with two volumes each. The Ninjago Factivity Books include “Ninja & Foes” and “Training & Battles”; LEGO Friends has “Animal Friends” and “Hobbies & Friends”; finally, LEGO City volumes are comprised of “City Jobs” and “On The Move”.

Each Factivity Book contains fun activities and games, trivia about the characters and elements from each of the three featured themes, and some encyclopedic trivia that are relevant to the theme and subject of each book. For example, LEGO Friends “Animal Friends” include animal trivia.

This offer is only available at Australia’s Woolworths Supermarkets, from September 17 to October 28 and while supplies last. Other participating publications include Who, Women’s Health, New Idea, Girlfriend and many more. Only one Factivity Book for each magazine purchased.

DK LEGO Star Wars: Chronicles of the Force With Exclusive Minifigure Officially Revealed

Several months, ago prior to the theatrical release of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, Amazon announced the release of a new DK Publishing book that will help any young Padawan learner explore the bricktastic Star Wars galaxy. Just recently, the movie’s website officially announced the full-details of the newest Dorling Kindersley book about the galaxy far, far away retold in a fun and entertaining way that only LEGO can deliver.

Based on the above photo, the ‘Unkar’s Thug’ minifigure comes with a sand, brown color combination staying true to the harsh desolate environment of the planet Jakku. The minifig’s torso also closely resembles the old, tattered shirt of Unkar’s desert minion. While the head is a little far off from the actual character, it will be better if a helmet is added as seen from the movie. Overall, the minifigure is great and its exclusivity gives it a more “take me” appeal.

DK also has something for all LEGO Star Wars trivia lovers out there. Starting May, DK will release its Ultimate Factivity Collection: LEGO Star Wars. Designed for all Star Wars sages and Jedi in-training, it will test your knowledge across the Star Wars galaxy through cool activities, games, and puzzles jam packed together with a set of more than 500 collectible stickers. Details surrounding what minifigure will be in the coming LEGO Star Wars The Dark Side book have surfaced that an Emperor Palpatine minifigure will be included.

As you can see from this Amazon posting, the cover features the infamous Sith Lord in another exclusive LEGO Star Wars minifigure version.
