LEGO Ideas has just announced its LEGO Ideas Third 2023 review results, and we’re thrilled to announce that two incredible projects have been selected for production. From a pool of 41 submissions, these standout creations will soon be hitting LEGO Store shelves, capturing the imagination of fans worldwide.
The LEGO Ideas Third 2023 Review Results Show Some Promising Projects
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – Here We Go Again
First, we have the delightful Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – Here We Go Again by Roberto Ceruti and Jody Padulano. This project garnered 10,000 votes for the second time, earning its place in this review round. The set brilliantly brings to life the iconic chocolate waterfall scene from the beloved story.
This set features minifigures of Charlie Bucket, Willy Wonka, Augustus Gloop, Veruca Salt, Violet Beauregarde, Mike Teevee, and two Oompa-Loompas. The highlight is the functional waterfall, which can even be motorized, though it’s yet to be confirmed if this feature will be included in the final product.
Italian Riviera
Next, we have the breathtaking Italian Riviera by Alex Sahli. Inspired by the picturesque cliffside villages of Cinque Terre, this vibrant 2,900-piece model is a fresh addition to LEGO’s architectural sets. The design includes a gelato shop, fish market, florist, second-story living space, town square, and beach, capturing the essence of a charming Italian village.
Production Timeline
Both of these sets are expected to be available for purchase within the next couple of years, adhering to the typical timeline for LEGO Ideas models. However, the final designs may undergo modifications to ensure stability, affordability, and overall feasibility. These LEGO Ideas Third 2023 review results truly show a lot of potential.
Honorable Mention: Disney Pixar Luxo Jr Lamp
In addition to the two confirmed sets from its LEGO Ideas Third 2023 review results, the LEGO Ideas team is still evaluating TOBY1KENOBI20506’s Disney Pixar Luxo Jr Lamp. This project initially qualified during the second 2023 review. The team mentioned in a blog post, “This is still in review as we have a few final things to check, and we hope to share the conclusions of this submission once we have completed these steps of the process.”
