LEGO Tie-Ins for 2022’s “The Batman” Film Revealed

You’ve got to hand it to Robert Pattinson. From a one-shot “Harry Potter” bit character to a then-trendy vegetarian vampire, now he gets to play Dark Knight. The “Twilight” star is set to headline the latest reboot of the Batman films in 2022. Initial movie trailers showcase a stylishly dark take on the DC hero, also depicting him as a rookie crime-fighter. Of course, DC Films and Warner Bros. Pictures want no spoilers coming out regarding “The Batman.” Then again, thanks to merchandising tie-in deals, we can get some ideas. After all, LEGO just revealed their official “The Batman” sets.

Now up on LEGO Shop@Home, four LEGO The Batman sets await their November 1 release date. Of course, collectors are free to pre-order them now. Interestingly, two Batmobile sets headline this batch, similar to the two Tumblers from LEGO DC Batman (76239, 76240). LEGO and Batman fans will want these new Batmobiles. Their stock car look stands in contrast to the concept supercars of past Batman films. One set is a nice 8+ with weapon load-outs; the other is a sweet Technic product. New LEGO Batman Batmobile Tumbler Sets Now Available for Pre-Order

After making their initial appearance over at third-party retailer sites, LEGO Shop@Home has made it official. Two new LEGO Batman Batmobile Tumbler sets are now available for pre-order at LEGO Shop@Home.

These new sets, the larger 18+ LEGO LEGO DC Batman Batmobile Tumbler (76240) and the LEGO DC Batman Batmobile Tumbler: Scarecrow Showdown (76239) are both slated to be released on November 1 and October 1 respectively. I expect that the former will be a hit to LEGO collectors especially if you missed out on its 2014 predecessor. In case you want to secure these Instagram-worthy sets, then LEGO is giving fans the opportunity of pre-ordering them starting today.

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Batman Cowl (76182) Revealed

After unveiling its LEGO Marvel Carnage (76199) brick helmet a couple of weeks ago, a third-party retailer now gives us a look at another LEGO buildable display set following the same genre. Similar to Target’s reveal, Barnes and Noble has now published official images of the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Batman Cowl (76182), scheduled to arrive on April 26.

If you were following the rumor train on this one, you have probably seen what this new LEGO DC Super Heroes Batman Cowl has to offer. Coming in at 410 pieces, the model stands at 22 centimeters and is geared primarily towards the adult LEGO fan community. It follows the same design concept as that of the LEGO Marvel Carnage, even coming with a similar nameplate intended for display purposes. And given that the brick-version of Marvel’s Carnage is expected to retail for $60, then it goes to show that its DC counterpart may likewise sell within the same price range as well.

As of this posting, B&N seems to have removed the LEGO Batman Cowl over its shopping portal (oops, I guess someone was quite excited for the reveal) and is still yet to appear over at LEGO Shop@Home. I’ll update you as soon as more information comes up. Thanks to Hoth Bricks for the tip.
